So, I have had a couple of encounters with people. Past and recent past, and even present encounters. It's become a trend that people no longer know how to deal with me, and it is frustrating. Therefore, I will be, in this post, saying a few things about me that you should know. Keep these in mind when you're dealing with me. It's just the way I am, so if you do not like me that way, find someone else to deal with; and I mean that in the nicest way possible. This would not be the right time to get mean. :]
First of all, DO NOT talk to me anyhow. You didn't give me life or bring me into this world. I do not appreciate being talked to anyhow. I can tolerate if for a FEW SECONDS, but I must warn you that just like you, I surely do have a smart mouth. You will not be happy to hear what i have to say if you decide to talk smart to me.
DO NOT smile in my face and go and talk about me behind my back. I know its not fun to be hated, but i honestly don't mind. What doesn't kill me, only makes me stronger. So, if your are not going to be a part of my life, you have the privilege of being part of my strength. And just for the record, those are the only two options.
DO NOT try to act over familiar when we are not friends. Like, we are acquaintances. We wouldn't know each other if we didn't have something that we are doing together. I'm not saying I cannot or will not make friends, but there are stages in friendship, and we do not skip ANY of those. If you go from just saying hi to making corny dating jokes, I won't be smiling along with you.
DO NOT look down on me. I am in NO WAY a minority. Yes, i am black, and yes i come from a third world country, but those are things about me. They are not me. So save your discrimination for types of cheese. Sometimes mozerella actually tastes better than parmesan. And no, I wouldn't know, cause I do not eat cheese. :]
DO NOT take me for granted. While I'm one of the nicest people that you could ever know, don't forget - 10% sugar, 10% spice, but 80% bitch, so you better be niceee.. that is all.
DO NOT judge me or my spirituality. I have no apologies about the fact that I never struggled with drugs and alchohol, same sex attraction, sex addiction, self abuse, or anything like that. I don't have to have a great life changing story in my past before I'm considered a Christian. Therefore, the next time to try to arrange salvation for me, at least tell your pastor to prophesy the truth and not make things up. I do not need salvation. I HAVE it.
If something is wrong, DO NOT leave me a note. I know that you may be the type that avoids conflict and would rather not deal with it because of the fear of hurting feelings or whatever, but here's the truth. If you leave me a note, I respond either of two ways. I either act like I never saw it - even when you know I did, or I come to talk to you so you have to face me anyway. Trust me, I am the type to typically avoid conflict too. Only thing is, I avoid it totally. I don't leave people notes like we're still in 7th grade.
