A children's hospital miraculously survives a devastating world flood and is left floating, like Noah's Ark, in a seven mile deep ocean that completely covers the earth. Narrated by a series of mysterious guardian angels who watch over the characters, the doctors struggle to keep their sick patients alive with ever dwindling resources. It's also worth mentioning that Adrian is a practicing ER pediatrician, in that rare tradtion of physician-writers which include Chekhov and William Carlos Williams.
