"You know, one time I was walking down Dowling Street, that's Houston... A lot of ya'll have never been to Texas but...that's a nice place to go to get an education" Dowling Street is right in the heart of 3rd ward, where Hopkins lived and spent a lot of time playing clubs and performing on the street. He used to be called "the King of Dowling Street"
