Change for Allah

Why is that we make intentions to give up our bad habits for others? "Oh yes sister, I will stop doing bad things once i am married." Why is it, we need others to come into our lives, in order to better ourselves? Hate to break the truth to you, thats not 'change.' That's fake. True change, true Eemaan (Faith) only comes from within oneself. Intending to change for any other deity but Allah is mere Shirk. Yes, you might change but it will never last you know why? Because you are doing it for the wrong reasons. Learn to change for Allah. Learn to change for yourself. Change Yourself and Allah Will Change You. -EtSk~
