"The most beloved son of the 12 sons of Yaqub was Yusuf. Likewise, Ramadan is the most beloved month of Allah. The 11 sons of Yaqub were forgiven because of the dua (prayer) of one of them, namely Yusuf. Likewise, the sins of the 11 months are forgiven by the blessings of Ramadhan." -Ibn Qayyim Al Jawzi
